Served in a massive krug.
Pours a light straw with a lighter haze. The head is white and frothy, thick and strong, taking its sweet time to die away, leaving some good lacing on the glass. The smell is of light hops, lighter lemon rind, and even lighter grains. Not much body to the smell, but somewhat refreshing nonetheless. The taste is that of a pale ale combined with a decently strong undertow of lemon (not at all surprising). Neither the hops, the grains, nor the lemon truly dominate, but all fight amongst themselves on the tongue, each gaining the upper hand at different moments. Thanks to the lightness of body and the nice bit of lemon, this is the perfect brew for those dog days of German summer.
