I had this beer on-tap in a clear plastic solo cup at the brewery.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of white foam atop.
Smell: kind of a basic wheaty malt, with kind of a little bit of a sharpness in the mix. Maybe more like an American wheat ale than a hefeweizen. Not particularly characterful, though not the worst thing out there.
Taste: fruity and kinda berry-like flavor, with a peppery character that I can only describe as an off-flavor. Maybe kind of a pithy orange peel character as well. But the finish is just really not pleasant to me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: maybe not the worst beer I’ve had but I’m definitely not gonna finish it. If I were drinking this at home I’d call it a drain pour.

Poured from a growler into a weizen glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates to a patchy film with light lacing. Aroma of wheat malt, overripe fruit, vague citrus. Flavor is dry wheat malt, tart apples, mild orange citrus light hop bitterness and a little mineral. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A rather idiosyncratic take on a hefeweizen, I'd probably have categorized it as an American wheat ale; it has good wheat malt character and a little more bitterness than a continental hefe and also has darker malt, more orange leaning citrus than lemon and visual clarity, no haziness. It's a refreshing wheaty ale, but not really to style. I found it quite drinkable, although not what I was expecting.
