350ml can served in a little Kunisawa Brewing mug. Beer was gifted to me by @shigg85 earlier this week when we met up and he showed me some awesome little spots in Tokyo. Date on the can is 2025.07.06, which I guess is the "best by" date.
Pours dark brown with a bit more than a centimeter of head. Head settles into a thick skin. Visible carbonation. Smell is lushly smokey, coffee and mesquite, chocolate and I think I can imagine a little brine in there.
Taste is similar to the aroma, more of a pronounced roasted nut bitterness, and bark. Brininess and umami come across subtly.
Mouthfeel is smooth, soft, borders on creamy. Overall, very interesting, very tasty.
