A very good first release of a style that can take generations to make well.
Dark Lioness Looks appetising, but could have more protein swirls. My nose Smells the dark fruit and maybe even some holidays nuts, but no standouts. However what makes Dark Lioness different for a first release is its balance. A young brewer trying to imitate a difficult style and tradition will over-do some element to try to stand out. Dark Lioness just achieves balance, knowing that the yeast that consistently creates this quad's character will eventually be developed. Almost medium-mouthed in a full style. Nicely soft whereas even some flavourful quads can be prickly.

I will have this again and will watch Cuver's evolution.
