A solid porter. The flavor is very chocolatey but not too bitter almost like a 70% cocoa chocolate bar and the aftertaste drifts off more into a cocoa and slightly coffee-flavor. Smell is that of a standard porter nothing particularly stands out about it. Feel is smooth and it pours nicely.

I don't usually like beer made with anything smoked. But this one was brewed brilliantly, evidenced by its taste.

This stuff is really tasty! Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a novelty goblet. Coffee-colored pour, with a couple of fingers of tan head that settled pretty quickly leaving a tiny bit of lacing. This has a nice roasted malt character without any hint of burnt or charred coffee bean, as I often pick up in porters and stouts. A little chocolate, a little tart black cherry, and notes of sesame oil (possibly from the toasted hemp seeds used in the brewing process) round out the profile. Bitterness is quite understated. Body is on the lighter side of medium, with a slightly astringent finish. This makes for a wonderful pairing with aged and smoked cheeses. Well done, PSB!

Poured a cola brown color with 1/2 inch light brown head. The aromas were of faint smokiness without the classic BBQ smell you find in smoked beers. The taste is the same, a pleasant earthy smokiness with hints of chocolate and roast coffee beans. Kind of like eating a coffee bean lightly covered in chocolate. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied.
Overall - I like the twist on its earthy and smoky notes. I'm guessing the hemp seed is was lends these characteristics.

It's a super light brown pour that caused concern for a quick second before I saw the body building up a chocolate brown fullness and a nice, fluffy 1/2 finger of head. The head stays like a ring of bubbly coffee all the way to the finish.

Oh, this nose is nice. Rich nutty aromas with some chocolate-coffee and biscotti.

Flavor is hemp forward, following with formidable notes of hazelnut, coffee, chocolate, vanilla...ending on a tremendous coffee breath note that is beyond ridiculous (in a good way).

Feel is the only part that could really improve. A bit thin on the feel, but hey - it's roasty as all get out, so it sort of balances out.

This Smokin' Hemp Porter is fabulous. I wish I woulda grabbed a six in Wisconsin. Very solid, glad I have another to enjoy.

Smokin Hemp Porter pours an almost blackish color with a small lacing head. There is a bold smokey aroma. The taste has a nice smokey note, with a sweetness and earthy aftertaste. Overall, its a little watery, but nice complex body.
