Dark brown, poured too high in the glass to have an appreciable head, but little foaming on the pour. Mild roasted malt and oatmeal, gentle. Some roasted, oatmeal sweetness, dark bread and a little chocolate on the finish. Very rounded and smooth mouthfeel, not much carbonation. What I’d expect for a beer modeled on the traditional British interpretation of the style. Nicely balanced, quenching, very drinkable. I would welcome it anytime of the year.

This is their first stout beer, and it's actually a very light oatmeal stout. There's still a decent body to it, but you can actually drink this on a warm summer day and not feel bogged down by it. The oatmeal flavor is the dominant one, but you get a bit of the typical chocolatey stout flavor on the back end. Solid beer here and one I hope they keep on the tap list regularly.
