If alcohol is the nectar of the gods, then west coast IPA is the specific nectar of the hipster gods. The brewers of Milieu Fermentation gives the sacrifices that are needed to quail the wrath of those plaid wearing gods.
With a burnt lemon sense of yellow, West Nectar greets the senses with an appetizing hop display of tropical fruit, citrus and curiously dank herbs while a mild mannered sweetness of agave, lemondrop candy and a dash of powdered sugar rest upon a light and bready maltiness. Hop flavors about with the strong impressions of white grapefruit, lime, passionfruit, kiwi, lemon and orange just a drier finish takes hold to let the bitterness shine. Sprucy and chocked full of citrus peel, the late taste is a botanical bitterness laced with dry cannabis character.
Medium bodied and perhaps residing slightly on the fuller side of medium, the IPA is daringly refreshing despite its strength- just as the hop headed gods would have it.
