Presentation - I decanted this ale at a cold temp into a goblet.
A - A deep copper, almost a dark honey shade of brown with a head of off white that leaves lace clinging to the goblet long after the pour.
S - Rich and malty with a subtle piney hop scent. A nice bouquet of fresh ale with doses of sweet and bitter in the nose.
M - A nutty, lighter taste than expected, but nice sweetness and light bitterness/smooth finish.
T - A well made and mellow ale - especially crisp for an ESB, but nice malt textures + flavor. Not a very bitter beer w/ mild pine tinged hops and a slightly floral hop w/ herbal accents. Almost minty in it's palate cleansing factor a very tasty ale regardless of the deviation from style
D - Very easy to knock back several. I would relish the chance to enjoy more 50 fathoms ESB anytime.

Drank the 50 fathoms ESB on tap. Poured a clear amber ale. Tasted of caramel malt with an english bitterness. Finished with a classic english hop finish. Has no hop smell and I wish it did because it could be a world class ale if it did. Very drinkable, I wish they bottled this as it is a very traditional english tasting ale.
