On draught at the brewery. 10 oz. pour served in a snulip glass. It pours a clear, rosy apricot color with a modest, ecru-colored ring. The smell is big and fruity with notes of apple, plum, raisin, and cherry. Its taste follows. The vibrant fruit flavors are clean and dryer than the nose would suggest. The alcohol level is warming but not distracting. This ale has a full mouth feel with appropriate carbonation. While not overtly boozy you cannot escape the 11.2% ABV. Overall, Stron Like Bull is an solid rendition of a Belgian Dark Strong Ale - a style that far too brewers take the time and care to make. This one is worth trying.
