A confluence of our English Bitter and Leon De Oro, we present to you our Bearskin Bitter - an Old Blighty brew that's true to style. With a warm toffee malt aroma, our Bearskin Bitter is gently carbonated (like any good E.O.B) and hopped with both El Dorado and East Kent Golding for notes of honey with a hint of thyme. A wonderful take on a true English classic, it fits as snug in your hand as a Bearskin on a guard's head!

Pours an orangish amber with a persistent, thin off-white head.
Tons of grain aroma that's followed by strong earthy/woody/vegetal hops. There's an underlying hint of sweetness, its not as bright as caramel or toffee, but not as dark as molasses, somewhere in between.
The taste is good. Some toffee, slight roasted grain, and the hop profile from the nose. It finishes with a lingering slight bitterness combined with some honey.
Had this on cask and the carb was excellent--really subtle and smooth. Very slightly thin feeling though.
Overall, this is a good bitter, but it won't give any UK brewers a run for their money. Being on cask helped, but it just needed a bit more for me, especially with it being in the ABV range of a best or special bitter.
