rad little nano brewery here, ambitious beers on the board too, i was surprised and stoked to see this graf, a style we never really see, and its a strong and distinctive one, cool for this time of year, still summery but with autumn on the horizon, i was impressed with this and really with our whole experience here, neat spot, will be back for sure. this is blonde and fairly bright in the glass, short white head on it from the tap, distinctive aroma of both sweet and tart fresh apples, it also smells a little more like a pils type malt than the wheat i am used to in these, but its not really grainy at all to me, slightly white wine-like too, tangy and with some unique yeast character in there as well. the flavor is great, its only sweet for a flash early, some apple tartness is present and the alcohol is rather well hidden, cant believe this comes in so strong. green apple skins, subtle pear, organic and slightly wild hard cider, farmy and rustic to me even though the beer is well refined overall. the apple aspect is awesome, this never gets too sweet, and it stays beery enough but definitely has that cider character too. decent carbonation, very light body for its size, complex and good, super cool recipe and nice execution! love graf, wish they were more common, this rules.
