L: dark brown with off-white head. Not much head on the pour but maintains a slight layer in the glass.
S: I am a big fan of smoked ales and as far as smell goes, they nailed it here. Great mesquite type smoke scent.
T: not quite as rich as I would expect in a Porter, but they mix in a decent balance of sweetness to accompany the bitterness that can accompany the smoked malt. Like Newport a Storms winter Porter, I think they went light on the hops.
F: As above, not very rich. Well carbonated.
O: A solid effort. Too bad this was only available in mixed 12 packs. Would make a nice winter beer to grab in 6 or 12 packs.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep brown color, with a thin off- white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains a lot of smoke along with caramelized malts, and touches of coffee and hops.
T: The taste likewise starts out very smoky with that common pork-like flavor that many smoked beer attain. Then some very mild sweetness comes in from flavors of coffee and chocolate. There’s a bit of creaminess that comes which seems out of place. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly smoky.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the heavy smokiness.
