Canned 3/16/19
Pours a decent frothy head, low retention, very murk cloudy hazy orange color
Nose citrus, juicy light tropical, papaya, pith, rind, but also dank resin pine hinting at onion
Taste mild doughy malt, wheat oats and flaked malt, creamy, then hops loads of pith, little paper oxidation like, citrus tangerine juice, light tropical papaya pineapple, mineral notes, bitter rind lingering, drier finish
Mouth is med bod, creamy soft little juicy, good creamy carb
Overall meh, little papery oxidation, hops bring some pine sap and pith that get meh, and not much head for some reason

Trying to enjoy hoppy beers, so far liking the "New England" style IPA. Finding I like Mosaic and Citra hops. I might try again.

Got a 4-pack from a family member. Beer pours with a murky dark orange and a very large head that thins out but remains for a long time. Floral orange peel citrus aromas with maybe a hint of grape. Bitter with a little citrus sour; could definitely sense some minor white grapes mixed with that orange citrus. Approachable beer; a little creamy with some dry crispness. Overall, impressive all around with a great mouthfeel.

Undated can (c'mon guys - please date your cans!) into pint glass. Sez "= T V SECRET HOP" on the label. (This IPA is brewed with a different hop each time - clever.) I LOVE Vic Secret, so let's see what Newport can do with it....
Pours a very hazy brownish-yellow. I'm gonna ding it on appearance, I'm afraid. Kind of reminds me of the last time the dog threw up. Just unattractive.
Whatever this secret hop is, it's got quite an assortment of tropical fruits up front, plus orange and perhaps a bit of caramel malt. Quite juicy. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is smooth and a little sticky, with a hint of sweetness lingering.
This is not a hop bomb - essentially no bite or bitterness. Quite a tasty IPA. I'd revisit, but I'd probably just drink it from the can.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy golden brown pour with thick foamy white head. Sticky lacing all over the glass.
S: Grapefruit and tropicals.. light crackery grains.
T/F: Pale malts and NEIPA grapefruit juice hops. Decent citrus, lighter tropical fruit and melon. Modest bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Relatively light bodied.
O: A decent NEIPA. I like the low ABV and it has good flavor. Did this one side to side with a V5 Hubbard's Cave and it simply didn't compare. Liked it... didn't love it. Would definitely have it again.
