16 ounce can, from refrigerated cooler, poured in to goblet. About 60*F.

Light to medium chestnut. Minimal head retention, limited legs / viscosity.

Smell is excellent, stone fruit, leather, musty, and more stone fruit.

Taste is similar: lots of stone fruit, and long lingering fruit and mustiness.

Mouth is full and thick and sweet, with a slight carbonation buzz.

Overall, a delicious English style barleywine, surprisingly drinkable for 10.2%, but not as complex as some others. I'll buy and drink it again!

Canned 12/3/19
Pours a med-large frothy foamy off-white head with great retention and lacing, dark mahogany hazy colored beer

Nose brings nice English barleywine aromas, lots of dark fruits, fig, date, a little plum and cherry, sweet caramel and molasses malts, lots of caramel and toffee, just a touch of perfumey alchohol

Taste brings lots of malts out front, toasted reddish malts with a little biscuity, lots more caramel and a little toffee, little smooth alcohol, more dark fruits with some plum, raisin, date, little earthy bitter hop note, touch of spice, rich malt in general, drier finish but a bit sweet as well, lingering fruity esters and a little bitter earthy hop, touch of alcohol as well, long caramel and butterscotch lingering

Mouth is med to fuller bod, med foamy carb, a touch of warming alcohol

Overall pretty good English barleywine, nice fruity esters both yeast and malt derived, good caramel and some toffee, and even butterscotch, nice smooth alcohol, a nice barleywine in a can, but I think it would age well but I wouldn't trust it to age in the can, I also think this would be awesome aged in a rum or brandy barrel, maybe bourbon as well
