A nod to Newport’s renowned Gooseberry Beach, our Gooseberry Gose is a light, refreshing German-style ale. Gooseberries in the brew lend bright, tart, & slightly sour flavors, while crushed coriander adds contrasting, subtle herbal notes. Finally, a bit of fresh Atlantic sea salt – harvested locally by our friends at Newport Sea Salt Co. – rounds out the flavor profile of this delicious, year-round brew.

A: The beer is somewhat hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of sourness are present in the nose along with hints of gooseberries.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has hints of saltiness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink. The gooseberry isn't very apparent in the smell or taste but it is a good representation of a gose.
