On tap at David Burke's Primehouse & The James Hotel bar- Chicago, IL. Brewed specifically for the restaurant and served in a Two Brothers/David Burke's Primehouse snifter.
A - ruby-brown colored ale with a tall, foamy beige head that holds good retention
S - great farmhouse yeast aroma that is spicy & fruity
T - nice complexity with typical notes of fruity and spicy farmhouse yeast, banana and earthy hops, along with less common (for the style) notes of caramel, grain, brown sugar, and a slight hint of raisin
M - medium body, creamy and smooth, with a dry finish
O - a maltier take on a farmhouse with the caramel and brown sugar notes. To me it seemed like flavors of a lighter bodied barley wine paired with the farmhouse yeast, and it was actually pretty good. I presume the flavor profile was meant to be paired with steak, given it's brewed for a steakhouse.
