"Best by 3/21/22"; drank 2/1/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice white head; frothy, tree-rung lace.
Corn, cream, mild raw oat & faint lemon peel notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium mouthfeel.
Sweet corn & mild raw oat flavors up front; mild cream notes on the finished.
Balanced & tasty; I liked this one.

Draft pint at the Roundhouse. Pale gold, visible carb streams, feeble head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of honeyed malt, crackers, grain husks. Malty with a honeyed bread crust taste, faint hop bitterness, finishes fairly dry and smooth, a little watery. Simple and unfettered, not reinventing the wheel, or even sniffing the same league as the champion local lager houses Dovetail and Goldfinger.

Aroma is husky/slightly grainy malts, mild sweetness and a hint of spicy/noble hops. The flavor is malts/grains, slight fruit and a spicy/noble hop/beery finish.

A fizzy white head sits atop a crisp gold showing lots of carbonation activity, although the head fizzles down to a wispy partly cloudy on top. Smells of bread and corn come through, with a hint of floral hops somewhere in there, maybe even a hint of lemony citrus. Smells clean. Fuller bodied than a typical premium lager, kind of a chewy malt bill that has a cleanliness to it that let's some pleasant floral notes shine through. There's a hint of something edging towards tartness, faint but enough to make an for an interesting sip. Definitely some lemony, orangey things going on behind well balanced and clean malt flavors. Surprised how much I enjoyed this. It drinks like it is actually a premium lager, not the beer represented with that name in the mass market. Good stuff.

Light yellow color, little head. Smell is mild sweetness. Has a nice balance of sweet and bitter, with a slightly grassy aftertaste. Lagers get a lot of hate on this site in general. Yes, this is a mellow lager and is very similar to Solid Gold, which I also like. To me, Solid Gold is more full-bodied, sweet and filling, while this is thinner and lighter, and has a slightly higher ABV. They both could use a bit more hop bitterness. I find this one pretty enjoyable.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from the Binnys in Montgomery, IL. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had faint malt and yeast with grain presence. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain and ABV notes. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

I originally reviewed this very poorly. But, it is out again with a new label and apparently a new recipe. The beer is very good - an excellent refreshing lager with a rich bready flavor. I increased my rating written a few years ago from very low 1.75 to a solid 3.5. Nice job on this one Two Brothers.

What is up with Two Brothers? The only thing premium about this lager is the price. I could have taken a can of Coor's and poured it into their can and called it what it is. There is nothing special about this beer. I could have actually paid the same price and got 24 of the Coor's, to me it was basically the same. Sam Adams Boston lager compared to this was like the major leagues vs a high school team. Never again and this isn't their 1st beer I have considered mediocre. Done with Two Brothers and their high price craft beers that aren't crafted very well.
