I found this to be a beautiful looking beer. That standard golden color with ample clarity and a good 1/2" white head. Pristine baby. Banging down under hoppy nose. I'm guessing Riwaka/Rikau, seems fruitier than Nelson. Danky weed but with yumberry and feijoa going like aroma going for it. Even tastes like the hops convey the geographical region's fruitiness.
The taste and mouthfeel were very clean. Suffice to say, this sub 4% beer was plenty crushable. Mix of berries, weed, and tropical fruit like feels. Part of why it looks so clean is the mild amounts of barley here, its far from balanced, and better for it. Not sure if anyone remembers Drake's Alpha Session beer, but this reminded me a lot of that one. And that one was excellent. Blue collared boys and rednecks, I love this bar.
I too, was stoked at what a nice session beer this was. I like drinking beer and sobering up. "Southern Breeze, makes me fee fine, blowing like a Jasmine in my mind. . . "

love how low alcohol this is, its not short on character at all, and as a morning drink its lovely, lots of flavor and even body for what it is, but a nice easy one. im not in love with the flavor, like i think they got a lot of bitterness from hops that do a little better in a more dry hopped context, and this isnt as delicate, fruity, or distinctively southern hemisphere as i anticipated it being, a little more west coast. this is blonde and crystal clear with a lasting inch and a half of pure white head on it, looks very well refined. the aroma is kiwi fruit, underripe melon, gin botanicals, and sweet citrus, very pleasant, and with real light grain to it, off dry, earthy, balanced, some bitterness apparent. the flavor is less bright than the nose, fresh enough, but more conventional here. some pine, some earlier than expected bitterness coming up, powers over some of the hop nuance to me, grassy now, white florals, green table grapes, spruce. some light nuttiness to a very pale grain profile, clean almost lagered ferment and quickness, nice snap to this with the hops, and its fast to drink but has more body than i thought it might at this real minimal alcohol strength. great carbonation, some lingering bitterness, an odd one, good but its like they didnt quite max out the best part of these hops. a fine start to the drinking day though...
