pecan pie flavored big boy stout, high in abv, massive in body, dripping with residual sugar, but i think hitting the flavor mark pretty well, even if i can really only drink a little bit of this, its on the palate and teeth for literally ever. shiny and syrupy and black, glazed looking, short mocha head on it, decent carbonation for how thick it is overall. the nose is praline and maple syrup, dark brown sugar and molasses, and a more generic nuttiness too, almost a peanut thing, a little alcohol harshness, some bitter roasted character and some espresso way back there, good build, adjunct heavy but also complex on the grain side, a little over the top but certainly appealing. big molasses hit early in the flavor, some earlier onset roast too, a little astringency cutting in, an almost wood aged richness to it, decadent and sugary to an absurd degree, but the nut part is there, sticky candied pecans sure enough, and a more earthy side, like the shells or something, offsetting some of the dessert intensity. lots of body here, seriously like the texture of glue, but the flavors are good. this is also over the top alcoholic, and i wonder if this might present a little nicer in the 10% abv range and drier, drop some grain out and let the yeast work it down bit more, but for fans of the massively sweet and strong ones, this is a cool offering. i love nuts in beer, and this is a solid take. the stout game here has been excellent so far...
