Earlier this summer I dropped into this place and was pleasantly surprised with the layout, food and beers. Triple crown baby. Anyhoo, this beer I think might have been a BeerNV keg, didn't quite annotate where I had this one. Could have been that pay per ounce self pour place in Tahoe too.
Pours golden, great clarity, makes 2/5" white head. Turn off that smokestack and that, goddamn radio. An aroma hitting citrus strides for the most part. Grapefruit rind, bitter pine. Not sure what the hop bill is, but it smacks largely of bittering or dual use hops. Oldish school C hops and Simcoe.
The taste brings a mild barley support system to push a bittering hop presence, probably 2 different ones. Like I said, bitter pine and rind. Its enjoyable even if the slightest aspirin hit in the mouthfeel. I like the light, brisk, but bitter tone throughout. Doesn't seem "juicy" just a west coast C hop cold ipa hybrid kind of feel to it. Solid off kilter standard stuff that pairs with salsa and chips nicely, jalapenos too. Anyhoo, I added this beer to this Next Glass owned website and also wrote some content because.
