Tap pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a tulip glass.
Mostly clear, deep gold colored body. Thin off white head, and this becomes an island. Leaves behind strings and webs of lacing.
Aroma is faint but expresses earthy and herbal hops with thoroughly toasted malts.
Taste is bitter, with a level bit of sweetness. Flavors go to pine resin, with a bit of citrus. Quite dank. Very forest floor-like. Slightly sweet malt base. All linger into the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel, but coats the mouth and tongue. Bitterness does not burn, but is ultra present. Very good carbonation.
Sits close to to a Cascadian Black IPA, but is golden in color.

Pours copper in color with a mild fog to the translucency. Head is two fingers of white foam, and retains well. Aroma is pine, herbal, and mild citrus and evergreen. Great balance, leaning dry as a whole. Flavor profile is pine, resin, and mild evergreen. Bready malts join hops. As a collective, it leans dry. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is soft with a sly crispness. Overall, balanced and mild but well mannered.
