On tap at brewery:
Pours between amber and copper penny in color, very clear, and with a fine off-white head. There is only a streak or two of “lacing” - but the high ABV beer retains a nice collar throughout.
The nose is fairly spicy, slightly floral, and doesn’t hide its alcohol content. That said, the slight sting to the nostrils is not unpleasant. The mild astringency they bring to the feel is a tad more distracting, along. The feel is lean a bit to the thick and, to a lesser degree, heavy side, without being too rich or weighty,
Taste is mildly sweet and spicy, with a light toasted bread thread and an earthy bitter counter. It is a sipper, for sure, and a pretty decent one if you are prepared for it.
