like other beers in here, most of them really, this is solid, executed to a high b level or so, but lacks personality or any kind of wow factor that would make it stand out or make me go back for it, i think well executed, not amateur at all, but also not special in really any way other than just being pretty good, which is fine, but like, not really causing a ruckus is it? the good news is that this is clean, quite german, and well balanced and with excellent carbonation. blonde with a little sparkly and a full inch of expansive white head with great retention, looks right on. the aroma here is subtle, especially when nice and cold from the tap, a lightly biscuity european grain thing, with old world yeast showing as fairly restrained, herbal appropriately noble hops there as well, light grassiness and freshness without much more than balancing bitterness to me. a little bit bready in the flavor, more going on than in the nose, but not necessarily better, some minerality and associated weight which makes it less than super light even with the crispness in the lagering. a very subtle almost chemical element does creep in a little bit, but the hops on the back end kind of cover it up, a touch tinny, but i think overall this is quite good, i pick up a green pinecone note from the hops, there isa fastness to this even with some body, and overall i think they did a fine job. nobody is picking this over the best pils types from the region, or even the local market, but its a nice effort for a new operation that shows some technical chops.

Taster flight at Ruckus. Clear golden pour, spotty head. Aroma is grainy, with some light vegetal notes. Taste is a little cleaner, sweet, biscuity with a small amount of bitterness.
