Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a glass that’s like a cross between being a tulip and a snifter. This beer draws a fairly cloudy/hazy light to medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles fairly rapidly and continuously rising to the beer’s surface. Has a white head that’s about half an inch thick when first drawn and served and that settles eventually to a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small cluster swirls of surface foam. Okay lacing here. Has a slightly peppery/spicy aroma along with some bready malts and a bit of barnyard funk along with floral, earthy hops. Has a slightly funky, bready malt flavor that gives way to a bit of peppery spice and a nice floral and earthy hops that give just the right amount of bitterness for a very well balanced flavor profile. Has a crisp, slightly prickly, yet smooth, frothy medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean, slightly dry finish and aftertaste. An excellent beer all around here.
