A traditional English-style Ale, our Extra Special Bitter is burnished copper in color. Toasty malt flavors of toffee and caramel are met with firm bitterness, making for a refined, well-balanced brew.

12 ounce can, no dating that I could find on it, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a chalice, the beer pours a somewhat clear copper color with about a half inch or so off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toffee, herbal hops and some toasted malt. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some bready flavors. Seems to pack more of a punch compared to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and is easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a good overall brew, certainly worth trying if you come across some!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This excellent ESB pours a nice deep and luminous
copper color with an excellent head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
dusty layer, and sports some very nice lacing. Nose of toasted malts, toffee,
herbal hops, and bread crust. Flavors nail it! Toffee, biscuit, caramel, and
excellently balanced herbal bittering hops. Mouth feel is medium, medium
light carbonation, smooth, and finishing balanced and lightly dry and subtly
bitter.
Overall, more excellence from this fantastic brewery!
Cheers
