my first from these guys, an all citra new school west coast ipa, really well done, and its actually a triple showcase of citra, with cryo, dynaboost, and hyperboost, a way to really drive up the citra intensity and saturation without making it all green and pellet tasting, this is very full spectrum, and i dont generally love citra in a single hop context, but these products round it out so well and juice it way up, very complete to me, not wanting for anything. light honey colored, fairly clear, short white head on it, big aroma of ripe yellow peach, meyer lemon, and tangerine, very citrus forward but that stone fruit thing is there too, modest generic grain sweetness, not a lot of malt to me though, neutral ferment and tidy there, some oils to the hops, some weedy intensity, light grassiness as well, very fresh. the flavor is just as good, its so obviously citra, but it has more of a punch, more early brightness, the products add a lot to this and yet its not at all overdone, real drinkable, and with the low bitterness and low grain profile, its almost pale ale in a way, crazy. there is a deep oily lemon center here, like lemon hard candy or even lemon medicine, herbal in that same moment too, without citrusy acidity of course, this is smooth and light on the palate, maybe a shade less carbonated than it could be, but easy drinking stuff for sure. lime weed gummy, apricot preserves, and lemongrass all come out as well, nice well rounded showcase of citra in its finest form, quality beer, ill be eager to try more from these guys.
