500 mL bottle. Hazy orange. Nice white head. The nose is all over. Tropical fruits, oak, wine aroma, strong yeast, grape must, and earthiness. Lightly tart flavor. Oak is very strong. Sweet fruitiness up front. The finish is all wine, oak, and brett Medium carbonation. Well carbonated. Complex saison, sometimes pushing into unpleasant realms.

Complex but, in a way, unfocused. The flavor hits oak, citrus, wine grapes (muscadet? chardonnay?), musty hay, some funky cheeses. It's a ping pong game of flavors. Challenging and interesting but needs an anchor.

On tap at Highland Park Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with grain, citrus fruit, citrus juice, wood, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour citrus fruit, citrus juice, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with fantastic sour citrus and wood qualities all around.
Serving type: on tap.
