On tap at Highland Park Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky golden-yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, spice, yeast, and slight citrus peel aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly tart grain, earth, spice, yeast, and citrus peel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice and yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas and flavors for an American take on the style.
Serving type: on tap.
