Woah, this beer is crazy. A hazy Double IPA that had too much fermentation character went into red wine barrels with our house culture. The results are insane! One of the most expressive and fruity beers we have ever made. With no fruit added. Super neon grapefruit and guava flavors intermingle with zippy acidity and soft bitterness. Such a fun beer!!
Ingredients: Rahr 2-row, Simpsons Golden Promise, Weyermann Carafoam, Flaked Oats, Rahr White Wheat, Rahr Unmalted Wheat, Dextrose, Cascade, Citra, and Galaxy hops.

L: A hazy bright hay colored ale. it bubbled up pretty good when i was pouring. it then settled to a white soapy head. very frothy!
S: Wet Hay, earth light funk. Theres some hops here but faint. from the nose i would gather a nicely made saison with a little dry hopping.
T: Here are the hops! citrus fruits with a trace amount of tropicals. they come in first a last through the funk or the wild yeast. next a little sour bite and after its all good I'm left with a little biscuity after taste.
F: very very soft on the mouth. but still lively and a tad dry.
O: there's a lot going on here. I was expected a lot more of an IPA due to the description but its still a nice beer.

Beautiful beer! Pours a hazy golden straw yellow with a bright fluffy white foam head. Nose brings the funk mixed with citrus and tropical fruits. Taste of bright funky citrus and mangos. Sour pinnaple in there as well. A bit of that barnyard funkyness to it along with light peppery grasses, sour grape skin light oak and clean cracker/biscuit malt.Medium body that starts out slightly creamy but fades to a dry thinner finish. It's hoppy funky goodness. Reading up on this beer it is supposedly a hoppy DIPA they threw in a wine barrel and funked up! I'm digging it!
