Hopped with 100% Nelson hops. This beer pours a gorgeous hazy yellow & gives off aromas of passionfruit, kiwi, & gooseberry.

Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $18.99 for a mixed 4-pack
From: Blind Lady Ale House in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Feb. 18, 2021
Consumed: Feb. 22, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Feb. 2, 2021
Bought a Highland Park mixed 4-pack when I saw it available at Blind Lady Ale House. I love that BLAH is doing these lately as I’m on their website every day. Highland Park’s website called it “Hopped with 100% Nelson hops. This beer pours a gorgeous hazy yellow & gives off aromas of passionfruit, kiwi, & gooseberry.” 100 percent Nelson sounds right up my alley.
Poured a light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled big Nelson, gooseberry, passion fruit, peach, pineapple, papaya, white grape, grapefruit and pine. Even more potent out of the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted big Nelson, gooseberry, passion fruit, peach, pineapple, papaya, white grape, grapefruit, orange creamisicle, pine and hints of peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.75)
This was a tremendous single-hopped beer. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)
