Packaged on 6/18/2021, consumed on 7/5/2021 - poured from a tall-boy into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.
Faintly cloudy, pale gold/greenish-yellow gradient with a lasting finger of papaya whip foam. Sticky pearling lacing; excellent retention.
Passion fruit, kumquat, and ginger in the nose - hints of scallion perhaps as well. Hop forward, but gentle.
Herbal, almost spicy palate entry, with citrus and a touch of nectarine in the finish. Starts dry, but rounds out to a medium finish with a floral flourish in the aftertaste. Neutral yeast and clean malt bill supports the hops - which have a fair amount of complexity and delicacy for a single variety (Citra).
Flavor bleeds over into the mouthfeel: zesty, with hints of pink peppercorn, yet soft if not creamy.
Simple, but not simplistic - refreshing but with increasing complexity as the ale warms.
