Served on-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours slightly murky brown with a nice one and a half finger tall off white head, quickly dissipating down to a small ring around the edge, leaving little to no lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of toasted bread, caramel, toffee, chocolate, toasted nuts, dark candied sugar, dash of fruit and a bit of earthy hops.
T - Starts off with the mild breadiness quickly being joined by the strong sweetness - mainly the chocolate, toffee, caramel and dark candied sugar - as well as the light fruitiness and Belgian yeast. Finish is sweet with a touch of warmth to it, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slick, sweet feel coats the palate leaving it quite dry. A light booze burn tickles the tongue at the end of each sip.
O - The end of all these brown ales can't come soon enough. This is one of the better ones but it is still just a plain old Belgian brown. I am not sure where the supposed demand is coming for all these brown ales but they continue to press forward with them.
