Tap at Flynn's in Mansfield
Nice creamy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, nice foamy lacing semi hazy copper orange color.
Nose weird herbal grassy funk, farmhouse, weird paper and grassy thing, lemongrass, herbal grassy hops, touch of a spicy hop, little fruity esters, mild phenols and chemical notes.
Taste brings mild doughy grainy malts, light feeling, with big grassy herbal hops, mild spicy hops with fair bitterness. Plenty of fruity esters and big phenols almost chemical like, weird slimy ester profile, but decent phenol spices and lemongrass, hint of booze. Finish is sticky mild sweet, slimy esters and spice phenols lingering, more lemongrass and grainy malts, and plenty of herbal slight lemony grassy hops.
Mouth is med bod, little slimy ester feel, lighter but decent carb.
Overall meh, didn't mesh very well, interesting characters but not too enjoyable. Glad it's just a scratch beer.

I tried this on tap at Tröegs, served chilled in a glass
The color is medium amber like honey with white head. The smell has a slight spice aroma from the yeat with subtle dried fruit ester. The feel is medium body with ample carbonation and dry finish with low alcohol in and light sweet texture.
The taste is decent for the style with moderate amount of yeast and slight hop flavor adding balance with a dry malt foundation. This is a decent Belgian pale but I am glad I didn't make the trip just for this since it is not exceptional-pretty standard take on the style.

Served on-tap at the brewery. Pours copper orange with a half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating to a very light ring around the edge, leaving small trails of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smells of typical Belgian yeast, lightly toasted pale malt, dash of noble and spicy hops, caramel and toffee sweetness. Taste has plenty of toffee sweetness and mildly toasted grains up front that hold on throughout slowly being joined by the light hop bitterness and bready malt. Smooth, slightly chewy and sweet feel from start to finish.
Overall an ok Belgian pale. It has some decent things going for it but it is much to standard for me to choose it over something else.
