I tried this on tap at the Brewery tasting room, served chilled in a stange
The color is a beautiful golden with light haze and thick white head with very fine bead and lace clings...carbonation is visible. The smell is fruity and slightly floral with an almost berry-like hop scent and mild yeast with low malt almost undetectable in the smell. The feel is good with spicy cracker-like texture with medium high carbonation and light sweetness with a very dry seltzer-like finish.
The taste is crisp and dry with fruitiness that is mild in the taste with a more spicy-hop flavor and earthy pilsner malt with light bitterness and mild earthiness from the hop which is peppery in the dry finish. Overall this is a passable kolsch but not much yeast in the taste very dry and spicy but not flavorful noble style ...definitely an American take on the style relativley light hop flavor considering 27 ibus -A true 'palate cleanser'
