Had this on 2015-08-15 at the brewery
A - Golden-amber with a 1.5-finger white head and mild lace
S - Rising white bread, floral and sweet
T - Initially, much like an Anchor Steam but as it warmed, it was sweeter than the benchmark with some citrus flesh and a bit of caramel. Clean / well-fermented.
M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Not overly crisp.
O - Very tasty and close-to-authentic to the style.

Served on-tap in the tasting room. Pours clear amber orange with a half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving small streaks of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smells of mildly toasted pale malts, carmel and toffee sweetness, hints of some woodsy hops and even some very faint pine. Taste is pretty much the same with the sweetness and mild roast dominating as they should with a lighter than expected hop bite wafting in as the predominant flavors start to die off. Smooth, easy drinking feel makes this one very easy to consume.
Overall another solid steam beer from the scratch series. I would still choose the classic examples over this one but it was quite nice to try.
