Rye beers were pretty much dead for hundreds of years, before being resurrected in the late 1980’s. Ironically, the dry, spicy finish blends incredibly well with bright hop flavors, so this once forgotten grain has found new life in craft brewing. Scratch #216 balances these grain notes with the tropical flavors of Australian hop varieties Enigma and Vic Secret.
