Our latest Double IPA experiment gracefully boasts grapefruit rind, pineapple, and honeysuckle notes with a hint of earthy forest floor.

Pours a clear yellow-orange with a small head. Fantastic smell of grapefruit, guava, and tangerine with light maltiness. Very smooth taste with no bitterness whatsoever and can't detect any of the 9.1% alcohol. Super easy drinking(which is scary at 9.1%). Another great scratch beer from Troegs. This is pretty similar to scratch # 218. Hopefully one of these great IPA/DIPA scratch beers makes it to at least their seasonal rotation.
Update 6-20-16. Just found out that Scratch 229 was a version of scratch 218 with the addition of Azzaca hops. Which they will now be making as Nimble Giant and available the week of 6-27-16. YEAAAA!!!
