A standby in teas and juices, hibiscus flowers provide Scratch #236 with its lovely pinkish hue and vibrant floral aroma. A mix of spicy, fruity hops gives this IPA a berry-like tanginess with underlying tropical notes.

The look is copper-Amber with a thin white head. The aroma is a subtle fruit forward clean, metallic hop quality. As well as the taste, and finishes with a subtle sour note. Carbonation immediately hits all parts of my tongue and mouth evenly and perfectly, with a just right astringent finish. My overall impression is a highly pleased one, as I am partial to hibiscus. But all said fairly, this is well-rounded and very pleasantly balanced scratch beer.

Draft offering at Troegs. The brew appears a clear copper color with a white cap. This smells hoppy and fruited with a subtle herbal spiciness that adds an interesting mix. The taste is fruity and herbal with a pretty clean feel. This is wuite enjoyable with a lasting bitternss and herbal spice. Its light in body and modestly carbonated.
