A: Dark brown and clear. No head/lacing.
S: Mild coffee aroma, nice toasted malt smells. Faintly nutty. Smells were a bit on the faint side.
T: Sweet malty taste from start to finish. Some faint toasty/bready flavors. Just a hint of a coffee taste.
M: Fairly high CO2 which seems to carry the flavors and aromas quite nicely. Crisp with a medium body. Alcohol feels low.
D&N: Had this one on tap while at Fatheads in Pittsburgh. A solid beer all around, but just a bit, I guess tame is the word. Everything is nice but could be just a bit "more". Worth a try.

Label states 12 oz., 4.4% ABV, and "Handcrafted by the Tröegs Brothers for Fat Head's Saloon - Pittsburgh". Also Fat Head's caricature mascot of a large-headed man with a moustache and sunglasses. Once pouring and sampling, I'm not really sure if there is a real difference between this brown ale and Tröegs' Nut Brown Ale (I wish I had a bottle on me just to be sure). Maybe a bit more brown sugary than I remember the Nut Brown. The label says is just a Brown Ale. Anyhow, it's pretty good. It poured a coppery brown with a 1/4" light tan head. Earthy brown ale smells, lightly fruity warmer temperature fermentation aromas. Dextrinous mouthfeel, good for a brown ale. Light hints of vanilla. Mildly hoppy finish, barely drying. Pretty easy drinking. Blows some other brown ales out of the water.
