This one pours a beautiful and rich caramel color that is crystal clear. The head is an off-white color that if made of fine foam and settles with minimal lacing, more like lumpy curtains.
The nose is fructose, malt, sweet hops, cooked corn, wet grass, pine and apples.
The taste is spectacular. The taste is a semi-sweet dry malt base that has hints of camphor, butter, alcohol, caramel, cucumber and a moderately bitter hoppiness.
The mouthfeel is proper for the style. Not too heavy and works well to deliver the flavors to the palate.
Overall one of the better beers I have tasted from Tröegs Brewing

10/31...pours rusty orange, semi-clear with very light white foam ring. Caramel malty nose, sweet. Simple malty taste, balanced sweetness. Fast finish, touch of sweetness, very little hop. Nicely made bock.

As good a bock as I ever. Love the brewer, and its challenge to make 100s of unique styles in this series. Sweet to be 3rd reviewer on this #253.
A: Deep amber clear body pour with one-finger, dense, off white head. Initial pour pretty, but not that much lace.
S: Aromas of caramel, toffee, citric hops. Ample for a Bock. Very round and fall-like.
T: Follows smell. Biscuity malts, dark whole grain rye bread, caramel, and citric hops.
F: Refreshing, Fall flavors, and a solid, drinkable, clean finishing, delicious beer. Could be one degree more crisp.
Good food beer. Overall great Bock. Try 6.

Deep Amber with dark copper highlights. Thick and foamy off white head. Beautiful looking beer. Sticky caramel, toffee, citrus hops on the nose. Biscuity malts, toasted rye bread, caramel, juicy citrus hops. Drinkabity is mostly good, a little cloying and not as clean as I like in Bocks. Still a solid, delicious beer
