Brewed for Teresa's Next Door in Wayne, PA, and served up on tap.
Regular BA Mouflan, in my opinion was a huge success, if somewhat under the radar. Even just regular Mouflan is a very good shelf barleywine, and giving it a bourbon barrel treatment just made it even better. This variant doesn't really offer up anything new other than a unique barrel, but it's every bit as good. Dirty brown pour, with a small tan head. Malt heaven in the nose, caramel and boozy barrel. Chewy caramel taste, gooey molasses, vanilla, bourbon-soaked oak. Everything you want in a top-notch barleywine, very smooth with low-key booze burn.
I'm pretty sure this will only ever be available at Teresa's, but the regular BA Mouflan bottles are definitely worth seeking out.
