11/9/17....light yellow gold. Heavier white foam that rings and clings. Citrus nose with lime and grapefruit. Smooth citrus zesty taste, peppy bitter and heavy citrus. Rich filling mouthfeel. Solid.

Decent pale ale. I expected stronger aroma for a fresh hopped ale

On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a crisp semi-thick to a lighter shade of dark yellow color with a two finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Lace slid in some soapy filmy glossy strings.
The aroma started off with some citrusy sweetness with an effort to portray some bright bitterness but seemed to struggle a bit as it warmed to bring in that balancing bitterness that I desperately wanted. Still, I'd say, it was a solid effort for a clean well brewed scent.
The flavor was basically the same adding in some of that grassy smooth hoppiness to balance slightly. Moderate aftertaste of the sweet side of the citrusy hops, somewhat orange-like with some lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Finish was fairly smooth with more of a bright "mobile bitterness" that scaled back the harshness that tried to roll across my tongue.
Overall, pretty good AIPA that I could come back to. They don't mention it, but I almost wanted to say they maybe used some "Lemondrop hops" far underneath (perhaps early in the boil) but I wasn't entirely sure.
