Format: Draft / Growler poured into a tall pilsner glass.
L: Appealing lemon juice color, very hazy. Thin 1" head on top that dissipated quickly but leaves a nice lace on the way down.
S: Lots of citrus and some notes of malt.
T: Dry, citrus forward, taste of orange candy but not overwhelming. Almost no bitterness of note, a really clean presentation of delicious hop flavors.
F: Very sippable and not heavy or sticky - it is a session after all. Carbonation is very present but is a good complement to the other flavors going on, refreshing and won't wear out your palate. It's not a super complex beer but it's not meant to be.
O: One of the best IPAs I've had in 2018. Really nails the "session" in its name, I could drink this all day. Was initially there to drink a bunch of Mad Elf but had to ease into the bruisers with a lighter beer first and extremely glad I chose this one. Hazy IPAs like this are really eye grabbing when you see a bar tender serve one and that's how they reeled me in. Had one glass at the tasting room and then got a growler to take home with me. The hopping process on this makes it unlikely they will ever make this a regular thing but it would be an instant buy for me if they ever decide to make it again!
