Bright clarity and deep gold with a small, frothy white head. Grainy malts dominate the aroma with gentle herbal/floral hops. Remarkably clean and smooth malt flavor. Drinkability is off the charts with this one.
Being an Export lager, it should have fallen strength-wise in between a Helles and a Maibock. But with a 4.5% ABV, it definitely leans closer to a Helles.
Tröegs knocked it out of the park with both of the Scratch beers I had; the other being a Krausened Keller Pils. Would love to see this become a regular beer but the chances are slim. Glad I got to try this one while it was available.
