12 oz bottle poured into a willi becher. Pours a light brown/amber with a moderate creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma and flavor feature lightly pungent hops (grassy/floral/slightly spicy), with a complex malt base featuring toasted caramel, milk chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated and creamy. Overall a solid dunkel.

Poured a copper brown with an off-white one-finger creamy head that dissipated to a thin film. Nose was almost undetectable . . . just a hint of the chocolate malt. Taste of milk chocolate malt, with a burst of brown bread and nuts on the finish. Moderate body and carbonation yet the brew still felt thin. Overall, this Dunkel seemed a bit odd compared to others I have had. A bit too much chocolate flavor for me.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass from Anthology Winter variety pack. Pours a dark amber/brown (red in light) with minimal head and lacing. Smells of sweet malt, light toast, caramel. The flavor is similar to the aroma with roasty malt, mild nut and chocolate notes and some balancing hops. Moderate mouthfeel with good carbonation. Overall, a tasty dunkel.

A dark yet bright caramel colored beer from a 12 oz. bottle into a clear Imperial pint glass came. Carbonated nicely, but that produced no lasting head and no lacing. There is a slight malt smell near the glass rim. The taste is on the bland side, with some malt and hops character in pleasant balance. The finish provides a little earthy and nutty flavor which induces a return for another. It's light enough on the tongue, so why not?

Pours a rich dark amber with a tan head that hangs around and leaves some nice lace.
Smells of whole grain bread, roasted nuts, and herbal hops.
Whole wheat bread, roasted nuts, and a grass herbal hop punch.

A very solid brown German lager. Nice and bready and slight caramel sweetness with a crisp finish. Good carbonation in the body. Really well made.

Poured from the bottle it is a dark, clear amber with the smallest of a head. LIght coffee / chocolate malt aroma with an associated taste that does not disappoint. Nice version of a classic.

Clear and dark brown with rich red highlights and a light coffee-with-cream thin head on top. Chocolate notes and toasted malts and bread on the nose. Crusty brown bread taste after a sweet malty introduction. Hints of chocolate and soft nuttiness mingle with easy-going floral hops help round it out. An appropriate carbonation makes for a nice mouth feel. Nothing mind bending here, but an enjoyable and easy drinking dunkel.
