A - Solid opaque black with brown highlights, light tan head, minimal lacing.
S - Chocolate notes, roasted coffee, and bright vanilla all coast over a huge malty core.
T - Follows the nose, with vanilla out front, bitter chocolate a half step behind, coffee and malty sweetness deliver the goodness, then acidity in the close.
M - Medium weight, solid and clean.
O - Superb stout, delicious and pretty satisfying. One to pick up again if the chance comes.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine and More in Short Pump, VA The stout poured an opaque black with a very small head and no lacing. The aroma of sweet chocolate and roasted malts greets you. The flavors are more complex with chocolate, marshmallows, and plums. There is vanilla also in the aftertaste. The stout has a medium body and light carbonation.

L = Nice deep chocolate, but minimal 1/2 inch head / lacing. Both virtually gone in 5 minutes.
S = Scent was mild, and low-key, but whatever was there was good. Chocolate, malt, mild hops, vanilla.
T = Senses awaken upon tasting. Chocolate, malt, hops, vanilla, coffee, caramel, all more robust to tongue, than nose.
F = Nicely balanced, slightly sticky. Carbonation not abundant but still present despite lack of head/ lacing. Good mouthfeel.
O = Always pleasing when a good taste overrides other factors. I like the taste, and will purchase this brew again. Bottoms up!

Pours a dark brown with a 1/2F head and light lacing.
Smells of roasted malt and chocolate.
Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, marshmallow and vanilla with a lightly bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Lush, syrupy mouthfeel.
This is a nice, flavorful, not overly strong sipper. I would like to see what 2X the strength of this brew would be like.

On draught at the brewery.
Dark pour, slightly amber. Nice head and lacing. Caramelized dark roasted sweet malt flavor dominates. Nice and chocolatey, creamy, notes of milk chocolate, nibs, and hints of a cocoa liqueur. A nice dessert beer.

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
It has a nice chocolate aroma. Reminds me of a chocolate brownie.
Chocolate flavor. Brownie batter.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
I am surprised that I have not reviewed this beer. Troegs was one of the few available to me as my craft beer journey began. It was a very enjoyable beer. I am glad to see Troegs is still pumping out quality beer.

Matte black with a dense, flat nitro-like head of light tan cream.
Milky and super frothy at first, it starts sweet but then becomes roasty, even a little woody, finishing thinner and a touch stinging.
