1/14/23. Poured from a pint can we had purchased several weeks ago at Troegs.
Beautiful clear brown color!
Aroma comes across as malty, sweet, prune along with a little sour! Maybe slight bourbon as well.
Taste ... First is slightly sweet prune. Very slight coconut. Everything turns to a lingering, bitter, medicinal taste.
Vanilla? Nope
Cocoa nibs? Nope
Coconut? Slight
Disappointed with this one, Troegs.

16oz can into a tall Troegs glass. Best by May 2021, 4 pack picked up at the brewery last Friday, so very recent release.
Paraphrasing from the can, Coco-Nator is Troegs Troegenator brewed with cocoa nibs, vanilla bean, and toasted coconut.
Looks splendid in the glass. Deep dark ruby red body with a good sized off white head. This shrinks to a ring and solid covering good lacing initially.
Strong sweet malty aroma.
On tasting, sweet, chewy, tasty. Problem is, I'm not picking up any of the added ingredients. This tastes like base Troegenator.
Mouth close to full, finish sweet and malty. There is a feather light bitter touch, and it's warm in the back of the throat.
Overall, I really like Troegenator, but this doesn't add anything at all. Where is the cocoa, vanilla, and coconut?
