With Scratch #441, we set out to contrast textbook pilsner crispness with subtle pops of citrus. Pilsner malt and our house lager yeast set the stage with a crisp backbone. Dry-hopping with Saaz pulls in the subtle herbal and spice notes of a classic pilsner. And Motueka, a zingy hop from New Zealand, adds hints of sweet citrus and dried orchard fruit around the edges.
