Lucked into a special Troegs cask ale night at The Old Toad in Rochester, NY. This one shows a deep brown copper color with a sturdy light tan colored head and good lacing. The aroma is a smooth combination of citrus and light pine. Just nice. The flavor comes out with earthy pineapple orange bite and roasted malt. There's a hint of berries and grassy graininess that all blends nicely along with a slight pine hop in evidence. As cask ales go, this has a decent liveliness in feel, solidly a medium bodied brew with some dryness on the tongue. This is very nice to enjoy although it seems reasonably drinkable if you want to indulge in a few. Glad I got to try this on cask. Like any Nugget Nectar, it doesn't disappoint.
