I guess I hyped it up too much thinking it was more of like a Schwartz being like a smoked lager, but it turned out to be just slightly toasty semi-sweet as others have said kind of like yuengling except yuengling as sort of a bittering hop experience. I would say if it reminds me of anything, it's closer to straub Amber semi-sweet toasted mulch and a nice crisp finish. Overall, I can't knock it. It's a great beer. I would definitely have again and wish I picked up more at only $1 a can

Picked up the variety TROEGS summer 15pack & this was one on my radar. 12oz can, stamped BB 8-12-25; I’m just in time. Poured aggressively into a standard American pint glass. If you ask me? It looks EXACTLY like Yuengling Amber lager. The color/head/etc. EXACTLY. Sweet, malty, biscuity on the nose. This is one, that tastes exactly like it smells. Toasty, nutty, only a kiss of hops. I’d say this one is more malt forward. But a good amber/vienna lager to put away. Especially, at 4.5%(which is exactly what Yuengling Lagef is). I love LAGER…and this one reminds me too much of it….albeit with more heft. Cheers!

Pours a clear amber. Thick foam. Malt aroma. Clean crisp malt body. A bitter bite at the finish. A good fall or campfire beer.

Look - amber coloured body with white head
Smell - toasted malts, toasted toffee
Taste - toasted toffee, caramel, toasted malts
Mouthfeel - medium bodied, medium carbonation, slightly sweet toasted caramel flavors upfront, hop bitterness to add balance
Overall - solid lager that is worth a try

On tap at the brewery this afternoon.
Crystal clear reddish body with a strong head, excellent lacing. Aroma is good and malty. On tasting, good malt body, lightly sweet. A little earthy, and only a short lived wisp of bitterness. Finish is clean.
Overall. Nicely brewed Vienna. Would happily have again.

Pours a nice amber with a cream colored head with good retention.
Fresh grains, whole grain toasted wheat bread, and lemon grass and floral hops.
Taste follows nose with nice subtleties and nuance.
